Meáchan Rudaí (The Weight of Things) is a setting of a poem by Irish poet Liam Ó Muirthile, who died in May 2018; I directed a film inspired by the poem and song. The song is the opening track to Irish band The Gloaming's third album and confronts death in the form of a son remembering his mother.
